“What a unique opportunity we have in working with children. We as professionals in the early childhood field have the opportunity to shape a child’s life for the better." -Sandy Escobido
I am not here to save the world. I truly believe I am here to make a difference and to me making a difference may sometimes mean helping one child be successful in the classroom. You know, for me, that one little sparkle will make a difference throughout the whole day. -Raymond Hernandez
i so agree with all your quotes I love working with children

ReplyDeleteI am glad that there are people who don't mind picking up the trash...I could never do it and I respect them for it. The idea of getting a shot frightens me and so does the thought of having to give one...again I respect those that have chosen that route. Sandy Escobido understands that it also takes a calling to educate those that make the world work...people, in this case the littlest people.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading your quotes. I agree with your quote about not being here to save the world. I'm here to give the children in my class a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
ReplyDeleteLeanne,
ReplyDeleteThere was something about the quote from Louise Derman-Sparks that stuck with as well. The part having a passion that was important to make real contributions to try and fix the injustices in the world. Everyday, we face injustices and it's up to us to advocate for those who can not help themselves.
